C4 Q20
  Michel de Nostredame

In this chapter I will bring together the verses dealing with financial calamity and show they hold a hidden story of profound significance to the destiny of humankind. The narrative will rely on verses where anagrams using the technical language of recent centuries are found. Like the presentation in the last chapter this approach raises serious plausibility issues.

In the previous chapter I showed how clusters of anagrams with distinctly modern genetic meaning appeared in several verses. These cohesive anagram clusters are particularly numerous where the text is vague and their numeracy, internal relevance and complexity implies their input shouldn't be discarded. But in assuming the anagrams are valid we would be taking a bold step for then the meaning of the text is reshaped and its obscurity is washed away to reveal a vision of the future. The ability to do this meets many of Nostradamus' claims.

..the algorithm will be as easy as the understanding of its meaning is difficult...1558 Epistle to Henry (HEE2)
This is the emotion left to me by my forebears. But the danger of the times, O Most Serene King, requires that such secrets are of events that should not be manifested except in enigmatic sentences having, however, only one direction and a unique meaning, and nothing shall be put [into it] that is ambiguous nor anything of ambiguous calculation...1558 Epistle to Henry (HEE6a)

All this is as future human beings shall see it, knowing that these adventures have happened infallibly, just as we have noted in the other [preface/prophecies] in clearer parlance notwithstanding that their intelligence has been packaged under a cloud "sed quando submovenda erit ignorantia'[Latin:but when the time comes for the removal of ignorance] the instance shall become clearer. To bring this to a close then, my son, take this gift from your father M. Nostradamus, who hopes to explain to you every one of the prophecies set out in these quatrains...1555 Cesar Preface (PCE12)

At best this internal structuring can be considered weird. Nostradamus wrote about the basis of the unusual method whereby knowledge from an eternal, external source infused itself into the single instant frames of his mind. But did he know what was hidden within his Prophecies as he wrote or did he have faith that what was needed would be there?

He acknowledges that the material for his text came from divine angelic sources but what happened as he wrote? Was he alone and the words shaped only by him or was there a subliminal shaping of his lettering and word choices?

It seems improbable that he created the full complexity contained in the anagrams and yet it is there in word forms and clusters that make it difficult and perhaps unwise to dismiss them all as the product of chance. And that makes Nostradamus' part in the process even stranger. His writings give some light on how he rationalized that dilemma.

..where human understanding is created intellectually it cannot see hidden things except by the voice coming from limbo via the thin flame, showing in what direction part of the future causes will be inclined...1555 Cesar Preface (PCE4)
C2 Q3
The divine word will give to the substance,
Including heaven, earth, gold hidden in the mystic deed
Body, soul, spirit having all power,
As much under its feet as the Heavenly see.

The peculiar modernity of the anagram clusters appears in many of the stories about times beyond our own but their texts often carry peripheral information rather than the event itself. However where they involve recent history the text frequently indicates the relevant events while the anagrams give the verse its modern twists. This is true  of the financial stories related to the 21st century.

The time of a new source of gold and silver.

The verse with which I have chosen to start this chapter's narrative is one I have presented before when defining the period of the 21st century as the crucial epoch in Nostradamus' tale of man's mutations. It is in the verses about this dating that I identified some keys for genetics and mutation but in C1 Q53 the text raises financial matter as it talks of gold and silver and overturned religious laws.

The enigma of the new source of gold and silver seems to be resolved by two anagrams, one for petroleum (ple tourme) and another for uranolite (otale ruin). Petroleum as a source of wealth is a factor well known to people of our time but uranolites or meteorites as they are called today have not yet been exploited by humankind.

The anagram for alloy (la loy) found in the same line where uranolite occurs suggests wealth will be based on metal content. The exploitation of any source requires commercial entrepreneurs and the part they play provides the consistent theme in verses where finance, money and precious metals are part of the text.

With the above in mind the meaning of the text shown below becomes an expression of the West's dilemma whereby oil production is mainly in the lands and control of non-Christian peoples.

C1 Q53

Alas, how we will see a great nation sorely tormented
and the holy law in utter ruin
All of Christianity under the laws of others
when a new source of gold and silver is discovered.

Las quon verra grand peuple tourmente
Et la loy Saincte en totale ruin
Par autres loix toute la ChreStiente
Quand d'or d'argent trouue nouuelle mine.

Wealth underpins the emergence of the Jesus clone.

The next verse I present is part of the series on agennos, the word that acts as a cipher for the 4thC Nicean religious division over the relationship of Christ to God and the Holy Spirit. There are other clues in the text that tie it into the Jesus clone story and they include Nostradamus' reference to a family branch. His Epistle is full of terms that are ciphers for the verses as I will attemp to show.

one is born from that branch that has been sterile for a long time...1558 Epistle to Henry (HEE14a)

The structures given by agennos and branch in the verse below gives an intial reason for suspecting this is the story of the Jesus clone born as offspring of a French family. And there is a similar connectivity between anagram and text that imply that family comes into great wealth. In the text we have Honors, riches, travail in old age and in the anagrams there is financier (rance infi) representing a concept that will bring this and other verses together. The lettering for this word also includes that for finance.

C3 Q14
Through the branch of the valiant personage
Of lowest France: because of the unhappy father
Honors, riches, travail in his old age,
For having believed the advice of a simple man.

Par le rameau du vaillant perſonnage
De France infime par le pere infelice
Honneurs richeſſes trauail en ſon vieil aage
Pour auoir creu le conſeil d'homme nice.

The cipher for finance is found in five verses each of which tells a different aspect of the tale shown in C7 Q9 which holds anagrams defining critical story elements for the Prophecies. These include eternalism (tre les main), importance (aincte prom), Madelaine (ine Dame al),  rosary (arroys), balances (a l'abſenc), fainter (traine F), words (ours du) and  finance (ine Fainc). With these guiding keys this otherwise nondescript text can be seen as a battle between religious devotion and monetary matters which is swayed by false seductive words. This is a theme that dominates action in the stories of the 21st century which lead to the exploitative pregnancy of a woman destined to carry the Christ-like child.

C7 Q9
The lady in the absence of her great master
will be begged for love by the Viceroy.
Feigned promise and misfortune in love,
in the hands of the great Prince of Bar.
Dame a l'abſence de ſon grand capitaine
Sera priee d'amours du Viceroy
Faincte promeſſe et mal heureuſe eſtraine
Entre les mains du grand prince Barroys

The man whose theories foresaw the crisis the 21st century faces.

Some of the most intriguing verses holding financial ciphers involve Robert Thomas Malthus who lived from 1766 to 1834CE. Malthus was an English cleric, lecturer and scholar, influential in the fields of political economy and demography. Ahead of his time he foresaw the social, political and economic problems that increasing population on a finite planet would bring.

Malthus became widely known for his theories about change in population. His An Essay on the Principle of Population [1798CE] observed that sooner or later population will be checked by famine and disease, leading to what is known as a Malthusian catastrophe. He wrote in opposition to the popular view in 18th-century Europe that saw society as improving and in principle as perfectible. He thought that the dangers of population growth precluded progress towards a utopian society: "The power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in the earth to produce subsistence for man". Wikipedia extract

For this discussion I have paired C5 Q37 and C2 Q25 since they present large clusters of related terms that make their content hard to ignore. The fourth line of C5 Q37 holds Malthusian finance (Simulant hai - ne fainc) as adjacent anagrams with the anagram for lecturer (cte. Leur R) in the same line and in the first line there is an anagram for doctrines (d Trois cen). In C2 Q25 the second line holds anagrams for Malthus (s hault ma) and poverties (e Eſpoir et v) with the latter term being one of the focal points for his campaign.

These verses are not about Malthus himself but about his fears materializing during this the 21st century. The first line of C5 Q37 is a pointer to a time 300 years after Malthus which places it late in this century but it also implies a group of like-minded people will be motivated in a scheme that precipitates Malthusian-style disaster. C2 Q25 also uses Malthus as a link to the conspiracy that causes financial turmoil during this century.

C5 Q37 C2 Q25
Three hundred will be in accord with one will
come to the execution of their blow,
Twenty months after all memory
Their king betrayed simulating feigned hate.

The foreign guard will betray the fortress,
Hope and shadow of a higher marriage:
Guard deceived, fort seized in the press,
Loire, Saone, Rhone, Garonne, mortal outrage.

Loyre, Son, Rosne, Gar a mort oultrage.

Further anagrams in both the above verses relate to financial machinations beyond those already shown. Of these the most pertinent to this series appears in C5 Q37 where there are  creditors / directors coact (t a cco - rd Trois ce), revolution (n vouloir et) and quittance (taincte Qu) with this last term being a specific financial term for the release from debt or obligation.

Corporations engage in dubious financial practices.

The theme of finance has its greatest import during this century and its links are imbedded in the key structures for the other events that define what is to happen in our near future. This is well illustrated by further anagrams in C3 Q38 which I previously presented in the topic of genetics because it contained anagrams for genealoguist, eugenesis, cancerous, genesis and generations. But this genetic background is interlocked with rare anagrams for consortium (u mois contr), consortia (ois contra) and intercorporate (ontraire et proc). Together these anagrams tell us that corporate wealth is intimately connected with the modern emerging genetic revolution.

C3 Q38
The Gallic people and a foreign nation
Beyond the mountains, dead, captured and killed:
In the contrary month and near vintage time,
Through the Lords drawn up in accord.
La gent Gauloiſe et nation eſtrange
Outre les monts morts prins et profligez
Au mois contraire et proche de vendange
Par les ſeigneurs en accord redigez.

The relevance of Malthus' ideas on the dangers of population growth.

It is the corporate world that provides the link to C4 Q20 where the text offers an easily recognized snapshot of this century. The first line of text talks of a long period of prosperity but it is at a time when floods bring death, the land is deluged and the people suffer. The third line has an anagram for corporate (portera Co) thereby offering a cause based in a mistaken strategy that places corporate profit above humanity. Within this same context the texts of the preceding verses begin to take on specific meaning as scenarios of financial disaster impacting on humankind.

C4 Q20
Peace and plenty for a long time the place will prosper.
Throughout his realm the fleur-de-lys deserted:
Bodies dead by water, land that the people will bring there,
Vainly awaiting the good fortune to be buried there.

Paix vberte long temps lieu louera
Par tout Son regne deSert la fleur de lys
Corps morts d'eau terre la l'on aportera
Sperants vain heur d'eStre la enSeueli

The appearance of Malthusian doctrines alongside corporate activity leading to humankind 's misfortune may seem bizarre inclusions for a person of the 16thC even if he could, as he claimed, read the future. Yet they are there and it is ideas such as those of Malthus that may explain why Nostradamus' chose to write about the future mutations of humankind in the 21st Century.

Humankind has a survival problem that has been there since our species first emerged and it is to do with the concepts identified by Malthus, it is those effects arising out of the ability of humankind to dominate the planet. It is most disturbing that such forces foster our drive to go to war and pursue a never ceasing demand for growth.

Perpetually increasing population is one of the drivers accentuated by the institutions of power, government and commerce to bring about growth suited to their vested interests. The resulting population struggle still shapes our current background with institutions of religion and science both driving our erratic dance with destiny.

The twisting route wrought by church, science and business has brought us to this point where humankind has taken a fate-setting step too far and this affects our future more than any event in history. We can now play with, manipulate, shape and exploit the DNA and we can be absolutely sure that play we will, exploit we will and the deniers-of-science will put aside their bias and use these same arts to suit their historic ends. Nostradamus' stories in his Prophecies foretell these events and follow their occurrence to their inevitable finale.

Corporations plot to bring about the downfall of a leader.

The foregoing sets out issues which emerge from Nostradamus' Prophecies about our current era but they are grounded in the concerns of earlier times. This is revealed by the texts of several verses already presented that involve plotting and betrayal against royal and institutional leaders . This same theme dominates the text of my next verse, C4 62.

Its third line mentions Against his prince false invention and the lettering of that line holds a complete set of adjacent anagrams saying in reverse order contention unite financier person (re ſon p - rince fain -te inu - ention Cont) a wording fully in keeping with that of its text. And it is the finance / financier cipher that unites this verse with other verses in this chapter. The story then adds to the themes already found by implying a union between military leaders and financiers who scheme to overthrow the rulers of the realm.

C4 Q62
A colonel with ambition plots,
He will seize the greatest army,
Against his Prince false invention,
And he will be discovered under his arbor.
Vn coronel machine ambition
Se ſaiſira de la plus grand armee
Contre ſon prince fainte inuention
Et deſcouuert ſera ſoubz ſa ramee.

The themes found in the previous verse also have unity with those found in C1 Q37 where the text provides details of the military action and the anagrammatic ciphers for finance / financier are also found.

C1 Q37
Shortly before sun set, battle is engaged.
A great nation is uncertain.
Overcome, the sea port makes no answer,
the bridge and the grave both in foreign places.
Vn peu deuant que le ſoleil s'eſconſe
Conflict donne grand peuple dubiteux
Profliges, port marin ne faict responce
Pont et ſepulchre en deux eſtranges lieux.

In an earlier part of this chapter I paired two verses one of which had the anagram for Malthus and the other an anagram for Malthusian. In the discussion of them I pointed out that the ideas of Robert Malthus on population would come to the fore in this century. Using the cipher for finance and related terms found in these verses we can also trace out a consistent story line of 21st century intrigues that determine the genetic future of humankind.

The links showing how corporations use of radio-elements threaten humankind.

By following the corporate path set by the Malthus cipher we can see another side to this 21stC scenario as illustrated in  C10 Q6. This verse seems to cover the converse side of the financial transaction that  underlies the creditor-oriented approach in verse C5 Q37.

Within C10 Q6 the word debtors (t desbor) occurs in the first line as does Malthusians (mans Si hault) while Speculates (eSta Sepulc) appears in the fourth line. But there are other inexplicable anagrams that cluster around a modern theme. The second line holds anagrams for Denuclearisation (Deucalion renaiSt), Nuclear-ion (ucalion rena) and Radio-nuclear (ra Deucalion r).

The links between the Malthusian verses then imply that corporate creditors band together to fund debtors in the nuclear industry who are speculating on making money out of investments that threaten human well-being.  The text supports the idea that this event takes place in the 21st century for it coincides with Nostradamus' great floods that are destined to begin late in this century. And the fourth line of text becomes explicable for the first time when interpreted as a supposed-safe haven that is radio-active despite funding having been provided for its denuclearization.

C10 Q6

The Gardon will flood Nīmes so high
That they will believe Deucalion reborn:
Into the colossus the greater part will flee,
Vesta tomb fire to appear extinguished.

Sardon Nemans Si hault desborderont
Qu'on cuidera
Deucalion renaiStre
Dans le colloSSe la plus part fuyront
V
eSta Sepulchre feu eStaint apparoiStre.

The last of the verses with a variant of the root 'financ' is C5 Q98 and the text of this verse is another that directly mentions the disasters Nostradamus foresaw for the period 500 years or more in his future. The event is identified by its fire in the sky reference and it carries the tone that we of this century are coming to understand; it is climate change and its impacts on the oceans that threaten the mutation of everything on this planet. The anagrams contain the following augmentation of this already recognisable theme. They include Seas financed (ſſeas - fin de Can), authentic (ante huict), claim requite greed (degre - clima -terique), arsenic dangers (ancer ſi grande ſ) and poisonS men quiet ethic (ithec - tique- Poiſſon - men) .

C5 Q98
At the forty-eighth climacteric degree,
At the end of Cancer very great dryness
Fish in sea, river, lake boiled hectic,
Bearn, Bigorre in distress through fire from the sky.
A quarante huict degre climaterique
A fin de Cancer ſi grande ſeichereſſe
Poiſſon en mer fleuue lac cuit hectique
Bearn Bigorre par feu ciel en deſtreſſe.
