Amongst the ciphers that stand out in the latter quote from the Epistle there is a direct reference to an Antichrist who Nostradamus calls the second one. However it is unwise to think that the label applied to this Antichrist allows a date order to be applied to the two Antichrists since comparison of the Epistle quotes to their corresponding verses in the Prophecies suggests that the term 'second' doesn't relate to their appearance in history. It may instead be correct but refer to the second mention of an antichrist in the Epistle. It is therefore more appropriate to apply the term 'African Antichrist' to distinguish this antichrist from the other with support for this usage coming from verses shown in this chapter. To take this liberty is justified given Nostradamus' own words on sequencing in the Epistle lists. And for this [reason], Sire, by this discourse I present these predictions with confusion as to when they will be and the event involved for the enumeration of time that follows has no more than a little consistency in it...1558 Henry Epistle (HEE19a) The ciphers for this African Antichrist then come from Satan, the infernal prince, the Church of Jesus Christ, its three temporal kings, towns, cities, castles and other edifices destroyed, great effusion of vestal blood and so many evils will desolate the world. That which follows in this chapter establishes that this Antichrist originates from Africa and penetrates Europe via Spain, France and Italy. By contrast the Eastern Antichrist of a later time is from the region around the Black Sea and invades the Middle East, the Balkans and then the coastal regions of the Mediterranean. In each case the towns and cities through which they pass define the epoch in which their activity occurs and this device sets the African Antichrist as being dominant from the late 21st century until well into the 22nd since its verses name towns that will be totally obliterated by water during this period. The relation of the three temporal kings to the infernal Antichrist. I begin this analysis with C8 Q99 whose text where the substance of the body and the spirit will be restored and received as the true seat comfortably places the verse into the theme of evolution of a cloned Christ. It is in this verse alone that the text contains the word temporal. This cipher appears as the three temporal kings thereby echoing the appearance of the same term in the Epistle. In the Epistle the references to the temporal kings imply these worldly rulers are opposed to the infernal Antichrist yet are manipulated by him to destroy the Christian Church. And in this current verse there are suggestions of upheaval involving the basics of the Christian faith. By its tone and wording it seems that Nostradamus was writing about attempts to install the Jesus clone as leader of all within the Christian faith. C8 Q99 Through the power of three temporal kings, Par la puiſſance des trois rois temporelz The text of the above verse evokes enigmas deep enough to excite the mind but this aspect is extended further through its anagrams. Firstly there is a powerful personal series related to Nostradamus' own ability. The last line contains my secret power vary (my - s et rec - eu pour - vray), a statement resonant with rational comment on his mystic talents. And secondly the anagrams offer terms that are easily identified as part of religious discussions and these include Ierusalem (lieu ſera m) , Islam (a mis l), Syria (ray ſi), Paul (la pu), Osiris (is rois), desecration (ance des troi) and stories ascend (Sance d -es trois). And there is one that is not so commonly known that stands out above all these. The word is Greek and it occurs in the second line as aeigenes (ſiege En a). This word means eternally begotten, a status bestowed by parts of the Christian Church on Jesus as well as their God. It only occurs in the above verse where it fittingly appears under text saying The sacred seat will be put in another place. Like the words agennos (not begotten) and gennos (begotten) which I presented in earlier chapters aeigenes is part of the vocabulary emphasised by Athanasius in his discussions of the Arian controversy and these terms lay at the heart of the 325CE Nicean Council debates. From this event came the division of the Christian Churches into Romanism and Arianism with the latter then classed as heretics. Nostradamus' interest in the ancient religious divisions and its impact on our future proceeds through many paths and one of them includes the names given to the groupings whose different views initiated the calling of the Nicean Council. The anagrams for Arianism (yran mis a) and Romanism (n mis a mor) appear only once each in the Prophecies and with both occurring in the first line of C1 Q94 which is a verse that can be linked to the story of the once-barren Lady and her offspring through other ciphers also found in the Epistle. I therefore show this verse below since it illuminates aspects of the Antichrist story. C1 Q94 The tyrant Selim will be put to death at the harbor The religious war against the infernal Antichrist lasts twenty-seven years. In verse C8 Q77 which is the verse I presented at the head of this chapter Nostradamus makes it clear that the future holds a great war in which opposing views of the Christian church are engaged. His text indicates that it is those with belief in an active God that are the instigators of the genocidal war against those who hold different views. And the verse clearly relates to the statements about the second Antichrist as given in the Henry Epistle. C8 Q77 The Antichrist very soon annihilates the three, L'antechriſt trois bien toſt annichilez The anagrams in the above verse yield a collection of complex words that also have religious war significance. Of these nontheistical (t oſt annichile) is the most potent as it refers to people who believe in a single God but not in his interaction with humankind. It is combined with an anagram sequence for interclash (L'antechriſ) that implies war between those whose major views are identical and this term adequately describes the setting of a war between Christians who hold different views on the manner of Christ's birth. There are also anagrams for Constantine (en toſt annic) and Gregories (rogie greſ), names of popes who provide a historical parallel to the war that is yet to happen. Constantine is the name of the first Roman emperor to adopt Christianity and under whose inspiration the Nicean resolutions evolved. Since that time there have been two antipopes with the name Gregory (1012CE and 1118-1121CE) and they may well provide clues to the two antichrists that seek the destruction of the ancient Christian churches. Hannibal as a model for the Antichrist whose origins lie in Africa. C2 Q30 is included in this chapter at this point because its text carries a key cipher for infernal gods with other parts of its text linking to the Antichrist's war against the Christ clone through its talk of rebirth, terror of humankind and never more horror nor worse of days. It also contains ideas and anagrams linking the infernal Antichrist to a nuclear theme that can be found throughout verses where the Antichrist-based ciphers appear. The reference in the first line to the infernal Gods of Hannibal directs us to a god of the underworld called Melqart and this implies that the act of rebirth mentioned in the second line refers to an act of resurrection. The term infernal occurs twice in the Epistle with both being in the quote given at the head of this chapter. In both instances it relates to a Prince who at one stage is identified with Satan. The term infernal appearing in the text is the only occurrence in the Prophecies.. C2 Q30 One who the infernal gods of Hannibal Vn qui les dieux d'Annibal infernaux Just the mention of Hannibal in this verse is enough to point to this man being from the south, the African region below the Mediterranean Sea. There are two Antichrists and in the development of the evidence for the other one I will show that Nostradamus uses the eastern warlord Tamerlane aka Timur the Lame for a reference point while in this verse Hannibal provides the anchor point for the African Antichrist. It comes as no surprise that Nostradamus gives dire attributes to these Antichrists but he could not embody his old style text with the gravitas of the havoc these modern individuals wreak. It is only anagrams that can hold adequate phrasing and in this verse while it is possible to view the first lines of text in this verse as a metaphor for nuclear reactions and their control it is the anagrams that must define the precise nature of this threat. These tell us that a material used in Chernobyl-type reactor control-rods are inevitably bypassed during the time of Nostradamus' great flood event. Some of the anagrammatic keys that lead to this claim are Belarus (bel aux r), hafniums (humains F), inundative (auint viend) and shroud (us d'hor). Hafnium (hf) is a silvery white element that is used for nuclear reactor control rods because of its ability to absorb neutrons and its good mechanical and corrosion resistance qualities. Chernobyl although now dormant is one of many nuclear plants that present threats should the flood waters reach the heights given by Nostradamus. [there will be] deluges with inundations so high that there will be no soil that is not covered by water; and this will be for such a long time that all would be lost except for the records of enographies and topographies....1555 Preface to Cesar (PCE8) There is a verse that becomes an important link in the chain of the story about the African Antichrist because of a peculiarity in its wording. The Antichrist's passage through Southern France mirrors Hannibal's route. In the text of C2 Q17 Nostradamus names a town called Ethne as a location near the Pyrenees but there is no such place and purely on it being the closest fit to the description in the verse Elne has traditionally been used as the town Nostradamus intended. However the use of the African Antichrist ciphers in the Henry Epistle relating to the vestal virgins offers good reason to confirm the name since Hannibal who is mentioned in the previous verse encamped at Elne in 218 CE on his route from Carthage through Spain and France and on to the north of Italy. This on its own doesn't establish a link to C2 Q30 but this is achieved through C2 Q17 saying the temple of the vestal virgin. The vestal virgins are a cipher found in the Epistle quotes at the start of this chapter and it is this distinctive allusion that unifies a whole cluster of verses that bear on the story of this Antichrist C2 Q17 The field of the temple of the vestal virgin, Le camp du temple de la vierge veſtale The vestals' eternal lamp and the nuclear actions of the African Antichrist. There is evidence in the Prophecies that Nostradamus knew and understood nuclear war would be used in pursuing religious ideology in the late 21st century. C5 Q66 is one such verse and its text carries a cipher used in the paragraph in the Epistle that relates to the African Antichrist. It is the reference to the vestal edifices that provides the linking cipher. And there will be many grievous wars and battles, and towns, cities, castles and all other edifices that will be burned, desolated and destroyed. With great effusion of vestal blood married woman and widows will be violated and raped and sucking children dashed and broken against the walls of towns. By means of Satan, Prince Infernal, so many evils will be committed that nearly all the world will find itself undone and desolated...1558 Henry Epistle (HEE26b). The nuclear connection can be made from the lamp of the vestal virgins which had the mythical property of an eternal flame. And through such an allusion Nostradamus had the means to evoke properties of radioactive minerals. This connection gains strength in other chapters where nuclear powers are the central focus. The term 'Les antiques' which occurs in the first line of text in C5 Q66 has been used since ancient times for the last visible remnants of Glanum, the silted-over Roman town on the boundaries of St Remy where Nostradamus grew up and this may indicate that the temple and the lamp in the following verses lie amongst those now partially uncovered ruins. C5 Q66 Under 'Les Antiques' vestal edifices, In the text of the next verse, C9 Q69, we begin to see the pattern falling into shape uniting what seem scattered and obscure parts into a continuous tale which in this instant is that of an eternally radiant lamp found in a vestal temple. The implication is the lamp's new location is near to Toulouse and Nimes in Southern France. By the references to these towns perishing in water it is implied this discovery occurs over a 200 year period from the late 21st century onwards. During this period the floods rise towards their peak but each surge will bring increased threats from nuclear power plants. Not far from Toulouse and close to Agen where Nostradamus once lived there is the Golfech nuclear plant that depends upon the Garonne River for its coolant. C9 Q9 When the lamp burning with inextinguishable fire Rising floods cover Toulouse. The next verse, C9 Q37, also names Toulouse and the text of its third line Walls, edifices, Toulouse overturned evokes the same Epistle ciphers used for the previous verses. These seem related to the period of the African Antichrist and together with other concepts in the text they provide imagery that makes sense in the flooded world envisioned by Nostradamus. A noteworthy statement in the last line So that none will know his place like a matron hints at the Jesus clone theme since it can be taken to mean that only the birth mother can know the origin of a cloned child. There are three anagrams worthy of special mention in this verse since they yield the name Juan-Carlos (caura son li), a name used by descendants of the Spanish Royal line, mutant (utant m) and Montreal (montera l) with each fitting to the central theme of an ancient royal lineage found throughout the Prophecies. Montreal is a mountain that lies near the Garonne, south of the ancient royal court of Nerac and Agen and it rises from 110m above sea level at its base to a peak of 430m. Like many other towns and cities named in these verses those in this verse currently are between 50m and a 150 meters above sea level which means the flooding mentioned occurs before the peak which is around 240 meters in 2400CE. And fittingly the anagram for Montreal occurs in the second line which says The Garonne will rise to a very high place which implies the floods will reach the foothills of Montreal. C9 Q37 Bridge and mills overturned in December, Pont et molins en Decembre verſez The above verses give specific towns and this is a significant indicator that they are all part of the story of the African Antichrist since those for the Eastern one don't. They rely on regions rather than towns because of higher flood level. This change in style therefore reflects different periods of the floods with those for the African Antichrist relating to the end of this century and part of the next while the events surrounding the Eastern Antichrist begin several centuries later when the floods are as high as 230 metres above current sea levels. The African Antichrist scenario is one of desolation and devastation. The rest of this chapter gathers together the verses that are identified through other ciphers found in the section of the Epistle referencing the African (aka second) Antichrist. ..And there will be many grievous wars and battles, and towns, cities, castles and all other edifices that will be burned, desolated and destroyed. With great effusion of vestal blood married The following verse is linked by the ciphers 'desolated and destroyed' and describes events fitting closely to the story of rising flood waters. C2 Q4 From Monaco to near Sicily C7 Q6 Naples, Palermo and all of Sicily The African Antichrist dupes the three temporal kings into killing the Jesus clone. The next verse C8 Q17 gives reason for believing the three brothers are linked to the three temporal kings. The anagrams of this verse contain two sets that have relevance to the themes in this section of my chapter. In the second line whose text says the world put into trouble by three brothers there is stories refer (es trois - frere) unreportable demonism (monde mis - en trouble Par) while the third line which says their enemies will seize the marine city has hidden in it Nestorians men cities remain (ſaiſir ont en - nem - is Cite - marine) or alternately omninescient reanimates (ont ennemis Ci -te marine ſa). Nestorians are Christians whose doctrine emphasizes the disunion between the human and divine natures of Jesus while omninescient is a term meaning persons who are totally ignorant. So from the anagrams we gain a complementary picture to that found in both the text and the linked Epistle quote. The war initiated by the three brothers is waged against those who imply the unity of God and Christ, mandated by Romanists, is false. C8 Q17 Those at ease will suddenly be cast down, Les bien aiſez ſubit ſeront deſmis The scope of Desolation caused by the African Antichrist. Desolation is one of the distinctive ciphers used in the Epistle to describe the havoc wreaked by the southern Antichrist. This cipher appears in C8 Q81 in two different parts of the verse with one being found in the text of the first line and the other in the anagrams of the third. In the first line in French there is the word 'defolation' and this translates into the word desolation in English. The third line's text begins with 'From Sicily will come such trouble' and from its original lettering the anagram for desolation (otion De la S) is generated. Within that same line there is also a complete sequence for civilise end no deal mortalise (Sicile vi- end- ra l'eſmoti-on - De la) which resonates with both the text and the concept of the destruction of the Jesus clone. C8 Q81 The new empire in desolation Le neuf empire en defolation C3 Q84 is another verse where the prominent ciphers are found for it refers to a desolated city where wall, sex, temple and virgin [are] violated. C3 Q84 The great city will be thoroughly desolated, The 21st century Christian revolution arouses the African Antichrist. The next verse shows the range covered by the African Antichrist in his efforts to wipe out all traces of the Jesus gene. It takes him right up to the lands where the dynasty has taken root, the lands the Romans once ruled and called Pannonia. In C5 Q48 there is a reference to the Pannon(ians) and the wording in the first line of text hints at mutation in a religious context. This finds support in anagrams such as upraise (is pareu), graal (la gra), and SanGrael afflicted (es la gran - de afflict) which link this verse into the story that appears throughout the prophecies about attempts to raise Jesus from the dead. This is backed up by others such as Arians (ra naiſ), thrones (seront) and fated unions end ( nons vi - end - t de fa). The Arians were believers in a mortal Christ of lesser status than their God and this belief is essential for the faith behind attempts to resurrect Jesus through modern gene technology. As in the 4th century of the Christian era the 22nd century and beyond there will be conflict over this issue but this time it leads to a massively destructive war between the different Christian sects. C5 Q48 After the great affliction of the scepter, Ares la grande affliction du ſceptre And the text of the last verse in this chapter clearly relates to elements from the themes exposed throughout the above. C5 Q13 With great fury the Roman Belgian King The last two verses both reference scenarios involving African people and by so doing they affirm the link of the destiny of the dynasty based in Pannonia to the African Antichrist.
